AEC was engaged as principal contractor by Powerlink for the Brendale BESS and Data Centre Connection project. This involved crucial infrastructure work to connect a new battery facility near the South Pine Substation.
Key Scope & Capabilities:
- Design and Supply of the 275kV system
- Installation of two 500m runs of conduit for a the 275kV underground feeders under this stage
- Installation of one 500m run of conduit for a future 275kV underground feeder
- Pulling of six 500m long 1200mm2 diameter 275kV cables
- Design and installation of sealing end structures
- Termination of all 275kV cables inside the Powerlink substation
- Testing and commissioning of the EHV system
