Clarke Creek Wind Farm is set to be one of Australia’s largest wind farms. Work by All Energy Contracting (AEC) commenced on the 100-hectare site in April 2024.
Having called on All Energy Contracting (AEC) to complete several utility-scale renewable projects in the last four years, Yurika contracted AEC to complete electrical reticulation across the massive wind farm, which is situated 150km north of Rockhampton in Queensland, Australia.
AEC and Yurika have shared a strong track record of success since their very first collaboration in 2020, completing similar works at Wambo Wind Farm, Moura Solar Farm and the Cowra Solar Farm export line.
Steep terrain has proven to be challenging. And, with more than 15 Queensland businesses sending between 350-400 workers to site, AEC’s strong culture of collaboration and management of critical interfaces with fellow contractors will help to smooth delivery of the project.
Once commercial operation commences in 2025, Clark Creek Wind Farm will power more than 330,000 homes. Offsetting more than 730,000 tonnes of carbon emissions each year, the windfarm will make significant contributions to Queensland’s target of 70 percent renewable energy by 2032.
