Located near Forbes in central New South Wales, Jemalong Solar Project generates 128,700MWH clean energy, or enough electricity to power 23,000 households each year.
Having worked with All Energy Contracting (AEC) on multiple utility-scale projects before, Beon Energy Solutions selected the contractor to perform underground electrical works, including trenching and backfilling, DC and AC cabling, AC cable joints and terminations.
AEC underground electrical works over three months. Extremely wet conditions persisted throughout construction, which were overcome by utilising its in-house track machine fleet, including equipment and trailers with large floatation tyres, without any delay to schedules.
On the back of this success in 2019, Beon has selected AEC on 7 more solar projects in Australia and New Zealand, representative of 1.3GW new solar energy capacity.
Jemalong Solar farm comprises of more than 150,000 solar modules and offsets 104,000 tonnes of carbon emissions each year.
