AEC Expands into Transmission and Distribution

Strengthening capability across Australia’s renewable energy sector
August 25, 2026

All Energy Contracting (AEC) has expanded its capability into transmission and distribution (T&D), strengthening our ability to deliver critical infrastructure that connects renewable energy projects to the electricity network across Australia and New Zealand.

The move marks another important step in the development of OCU Group (ANZ), and enables us to support clients across a broader range of renewable energy infrastructure and deliver more of the connection assets required to bring projects online.

Building on our established reputation in utility-scale renewable energy construction, AEC can now provide a more integrated service, supporting projects from renewable generation through to the transmission and distribution infrastructure that enables power to reach homes, businesses and communities.

Responding to growing demand

Australia and New Zealand are investing heavily in renewable energy infrastructure as both countries continue to increase renewable generation capacity and strengthen their electricity networks.

As new solar, wind and battery projects are developed, demand for transmission and distribution infrastructure is also increasing. Overhead transmission lines, underground cable systems, substations and associated connection assets all play a vital role in connecting renewable generation to the wider grid.

By expanding into transmission and distribution, we’re responding directly to this growing market while broadening the services we can provide to existing and future clients.

Investing in people and capability

Supporting the expansion is a dedicated transmission and distribution team bringing extensive experience in construction, project delivery and field operations.

Alongside this investment in people, we’ve strengthened our operational capability through the purchase of specialist transmission and distribution equipment, including drill rigs, transmission line stringing equipment and substation construction tooling.

Together, these investments provide the resources needed to deliver a wide range of connection asset projects while maintaining the practical, solutions-focused approach for which AEC is known.

The expansion also strengthens opportunities for collaboration with developers, network operators, engineering consultants and delivery partners, enabling us to play a greater role in delivering integrated renewable energy infrastructure across the region.

Supporting the energy transformation

As part of OCU Group, our expanded capability complements the wider expertise available across the Group while strengthening OCU’s presence within one of the world’s fastest-growing renewable energy markets.

By combining renewable generation construction with transmission and distribution delivery, the business is well positioned to support increasingly complex projects and help accelerate the connection of new renewable energy developments to the grid.

The investment reflects OCU Group’s continued commitment to building specialist capability across Australia and New Zealand and supporting the infrastructure needed to deliver the region’s energy transformation.

Strengthening the ANZ platform

Our expansion into transmission and distribution also supports the OCU Group’s wider strategy across Australia and New Zealand. By broadening the capabilities available across ANZ, we are creating a more integrated offering that combines renewable energy construction, specialist engineering and critical network infrastructure. This enables us to support clients through more aspects of project delivery while strengthening collaboration between our businesses and creating a platform for continued sustainable growth across the region.
