January marked eight years of success for AEC. We’d like to use this milestone to look back at how we started as a small, dynamic team in Brisbane to a market-leader, helping to build Australia and New Zealand’s largest and most complex energy and infrastructure projects.
Looking back also reminds us how exciting the last 12months has been. We announced our partnership with OCU Group in July. Becoming a part of OCU Group brings fantastic opportunities for learning and even faster growth.
In 2025, we also successfully completed construction on 17 utility-scale projects, including Queensland’s largest battery and storage system, Stanwell BESS and Aldoga Solar Farm.
When we add it all up over the last 12months, AEC construction helped to build more than 1.7GW of new, clean energy capacity across Australia and New Zealand.
Our success isn’t just about the numbers, however; in eight years, we’ve continually expanded our capabilities, strengthened partnerships, and established a team known for reliability, collaboration and getting the job done right.
This is a great moment to pause and reflect, but also a chance to look ahead. The clean energy sector is expanding, and so are we. As AEC grows, the focus remains the same: finding smarter ways to deliver complex projects, supporting and developing our people, and consistently achieving excellent outcomes for our clients.
So, here’s to eight years of AEC, and to the next chapter. With a strong foundation, a standout team and exciting work ahead, the future is looking bright.
