Winton North Solar Farm is located 22km South West of Wangaratta in Victoria.
AEC was awarded Winton North Solar Farm construction contract by European Energy in late 2025. The project includes the construction of the solar farm, and 100 MW / 200 MWh battery to maximize the availability of solar energy during the day, and night.
AEC is delivering an end-to-end electrical and trenching package, including:
- Complete DC, LV and MV reticulation: all trenching, conduits, cable laying, terminations and labelling.
- Above-ground DC works: installation of all prefabricated string harnesses, jumpers and associated cabling.
- Equipment installation: PCUs, transformers, RMUs, combiner boxes, lighting and monitoring equipment.
- HDD and special crossings
- Full testing and compliance: electrical testing, QA/QC, ITPs/ITRs, as-builts and commissioning support.
- Site establishment and supervision: project management, HSE, quality control and experienced supervisors for the entire construction period.
